I really can't comment on Yakupov as I only saw a few of his games in Edmonton when I had McDavid on my fantasy hockey team.  As I recall, he was always getting hurt.  Those +/- stats are painful.

Bottom line for me is that unless Lafreniere and Kakko take the next step forward, the Rangers are going nowhere this season.  Perhaps that delusion is the source of my hope.

There are signs of Kakko turning the corner however his lack of physicality is concerning.


If they need me to bleed, then I'll bleed for my team

If Lafreniere gets opportunity in the form of power play time mostly, then he has to produce. Too bad he or Kakko were not centers but that’s the luck of the draw.
