Dave is correct Schneider and Smith should have been in there.

I realize exhibition but think sooner than later Miller is going to be a big issue. I don’t have a lot of confidence in him improving on his last years play.

Miller skating well and made some good passes that didn't connect. Isles haven't gotten behind the Rangers D yet... Did they fix something! or did I pick a bad day to stop sniffing glue?

Miller missing connection on passes seems to be a thing for him.  He just doesn't get it cleanly to them in the right spot so often.  Too hard, behind them, too far in front of them, he seems to be a decent passer, but not a great passer like Fox is.

Liked Durzi’s period.

Durzi was really active with the puck last night.  Bit scrambly on defense, but was nice to see his confidence when handling the puck.  Quick and decisive.

realizing this is preseason - and we have seen Chmelar's  and Kartye's work

Beadoin, Greentree, Roobroeck all look like they can compete - Looks to me like there is no space for Rempe

Durzi looks slick - hope he stays healthy

Smits looks comfortable

I could see Raddysh getting moved, too

Chmelar played last night and was solid.

Agree on Beaudoin, Greentree and Roobroeck.  It was nice to see a bit of something else from Greentree last night that was more than just how he is when he has the puck on his stick.  Think Roobroeck has done well this camp, and could see him get a chance if there are injuries.  Beaudoin I think needs a little more time to settle in, but encouraging start.

Rangers lose track of MacLean right next to the slot and he bounces the puck off Igors mask 3-1

Fox spectating... Not the defenseman I want defending down low

I felt like Miller was the floater on that one.  Fox was in position to defend on the right post, and Miller is kind of floating over there with the man already covered and not really committed to anyone.  Even there was a moderately fortunate bounce on the pass over to MacLean...and Shesterkin almost got over quick enough.

Not sure what Dorkstrand is yapping about was 100% a crosscheck.

He seemed to be unhappy for about half the game...

I think Greentree put the Rangers on notice last night that he has the jam to play a fourth line role and second PP duties while his offensive game rounds out. Last nights scrap with Mayfield was impressive and plants the seed to be determined with more games, Greentree or Chmelar. He also had some good shifts.

Greentree and Beadoin have lots of offensive upside. They should be playing major minutes in Hartford. Roobroeck also has offensive upside and will also be in Hartford, but might be pushing Veleno for the 4C slot in the near future. He looked strong on faceoffs. It would be nice if  Veleno remembers how to score.
