I can't believe Mick the Mouth is making excuses for Quick.
I can't recall in all my years if a Ranger goalie has ever been booed out of town.....I'd have to say that Quick is definitely trending in that direction.
In the meantime, Rangers can't get anything going.
Yeah closest I can think of Georgiev. Even when Weekes lost support, it was more of a "we want Lundqvist" thing than booing him. Pavelec is probably the closest analog in terms of performance...and they didn't even boo him
Cuylle's shot is really not what you'd call NHL quality, but that's his second goal of the preseason, and he gets into the right places around the net

Quick is playing pretty deep in his net, and he's so hunched over...leaves a lot of net to shoot at. Signs that he's perhaps not playing with much confidence. Certainly the team in front of him hasn't been very good, but I'm hard pressed to think of a big save where the puck hasn't really just hit him.
That's an Allaire specialty. It's one of the first things he changes when he starts working with a goalie. @itsmcilrathtime yeah, not buying that...he's not going to beat that many NHL goalies with his shot, he's going to get more being in and around the net...and that's okay, he brings more than just his shot, but we shouldn't be under any illusion that he's got a top six shot.
@mjolnir yeah, I recall hearing Hank talk about it at one point I think...but pretty sure the leaning over is all on Quick makes him look he stands about 5-6
