Trading Soucy will have the same effect as tossing a pebble in a pond, a few minor ripples and gone. They now have Gavrikov, Robertson, Vaakaneinen and Mackey in reserve. Might want to address this if Vaakaneinen can’t handle third pair minutes. It’s the right side that needs a fix for Drurys senseless trade for Borgen last year. Granted they didn’t have Morrow to slot in at 3rd pair like they do now, but it stuck Schneider in a position playing below his capabilities last year as third pair. So typical of Drury to block a young players path. Now they have Fox, Borgen and Schneider on the right side. I haven’t seen Borgen do anything Schneider can’t do. Coulda woulda shoulda had a bruiser on the third pair. Be a shame to see Schneider shipped out instead of Borgen.

I do wonder if Schneider might have already reached his peak, and it might be interesting to see whether someone will over pay for him

Schneider is in the explore a trade category. If a team wants to overpay for him and the Rangers get a capable replacement for Schneider, or any other Ranger for that matter, then all is good. No one on this team is irreplaceable.
