Probably skews a little more positive towards Drury as he recovered some lost picks over the last year.

Reported by the NY Post, Drury has traded a net of one first-round draft pick, three second-rounders, four third-rounders and three fourth-rounders over his four-year tenure.

and what came back ?  It’s a rhetorical question that answers itself. NOTHING. Fire the bum.

Dismal becoming a common word to describe the piling up Ranger games. Toss in lethargic, unmotivated and uninterested. This is Drury's team and coach 100%. The Rangers have the Capitals, Islanders, Hurricanes, Capitals, Panthers, and Mammoth, their next 6 games. Games that will tell the tale. Their Division opponents all have multiple games in hand most at at least two and the Flyers with 4 games in hand. So the Ranger's being in the wild card hunt might be a bit askew til the teams with games in hand catch up.

Which brings us to Drury's mess. Reality is it needs fixing. Biggest development mistake made was signing Raddysh and nephew in law Dreary Sheary. Totally blocked out Berard and Othmann both of whom had some upside, to add to doing anything Raddysh and Sheary have done. Which ain't much. Not to mention blocking Brodzinski who is also better than both Drury's boys. Chmelar also showing  over the course of a season be might be more helpful. And no one can tell me young players sitting out games and players on the cusp in Hartford, aren't bitter about watching the golden boy one goal top six winger, 7th most ice time, among Ranger forwards. Justified? I don't think so. If his name was Smith, he wouldn't even be here. His signing and clear favouritism is on the coach and Drury who should have considered Tampa's evaluation and assignment to the minors as a warning Sheary is done. World class Tampa coach Cooper obviously thought so.

It is clearly shaping up the Rangers need the assets going forward that Panarin, and Lafreniere trades will bring. They need to inject some youthful top six forwards into the mix. Sadly Lafreniere doesn't appear he will ever even reattain the playoff heights of a couple years back.

The last guy I want handling this is Drury. He has had his run and successfully ran the team into below mediocre. Time to go. Ownership needs to do some diligence finding out if a proven successful GM like Brisebois, or Zito are looking for a new challenge. The Rangers have one thing and that's coin to lure a top end proven G.M. Brisebois in particular maybe getting stale in Tampa. New York is not the place for neophyte G.M's. which Drury was. He should have been in Buffalo. My rant for the day.

This.  Nothing in the last month has done anything to change my outlook.  Drury and the whole department of player personnel has to go.  Watching the Kings game as I’m I’m on the left coast.  I’ve played on beer league teams that were more structured.  This is soooo hard to watch.

The more I read in NHL trade news articles, about how great Trocheck is, the more I laugh. If he was that good the Rangers wouldn't be in this mess. He has floated since the start of Laviolettes second year. His lack of extra effort is a huge part of the problem. Can't wait til they dump him.

Fire Drury. He is not the guy to get the team out of the mess he has created. His trade for Miller even though he got rid of Chytll is a disaster. Topped by Drury naming him captain. Drury has created this Ranger culture of the last two seasons. Sullivan is proving he's pretty good at flapping his gums, and not so good at getting effort out of players on a team that continues to cater to whoever is in the top six and use bottom six punishment to try to establish some kind of discipline. All the things missing in the Rangers game are outlined in the first sentence of a Invite To Apply for a Hockey Team Coach notice. Sullivan has failed miserably. Fire both these buddies and bring in some new blood.

Drury agrees to Ortmeyer leaving. Which was a good start for a fan base very skeptical about the Rangers ability to develop anything let alone a player. Not worth mentioning the first round picks that have gone bye bye on Drury and Ortmeyers watch. Ranger fans relieved Drury is going to look around the league, and find someone that u can say yah he had some success with players and helped move them into the NHL.
But not, instead they hire Ortmeyers Assistant as the new Director. Tanner Glass. Could he have learned anything under Ortmeyer's watch, highly doubtful. Does he have the cache to deal with these cocky kids. Most will head to hockeydb and look up Glass’s stats and will wonder what’s he going to help me with? Just like they did with Ortmeyer.

It is not clear whether Ortmeyer left or was fired. Either way, they moved next in line Tanner Glass into the position. We can assume that Glass was implementing Ortmeyers plan, so not much of a change. Its not Ortmeyer's fault that they drafted guys like Kravstov, Andersson and Othmann.

I’ve read a few articles thecRangers didn’t want him back. Ortmeyer didn’t draft them but we will never know his impact if any on them. None of those three left happy, all  with complaints. Whiners? Or Legitimate? Drury ain’t talking.

Well neither Andersson or Kravstov had whatever it takes to play in the NHL. They both had shots with other teams (Andersson NYR/LAK/Mont and Kravstov NYR/VAN) and could not crack the NHL. The jury is still out on Othmann, but my non-calibrated eyeballs did not see NHL talent from him while playing for the NYR (who were a mess). Othmann might be one of those guys whose skills translate to 1st/2nd line in the AHL, not the NHL and not 3/4 line in the NHL.

There is no doubt good draft picks can make a Director of player development look good.
