I actually don't mind this return. You get to hopefully improve the defense, get some more depth on the center prospect list (projects to be 3rd-4th line center) and a 3rd round pick for a guy who's 33 and will likely see his offensive numbers drop and is heading towards a 3rd line center role himself.
The cold hard reality with Trocheck is he has been average since the 23-24 run to the semi finals. Drury was trying for a trade return based on his 23-24 run teams were offering for his last two seasons.
although I understand, dont be so negative - Durzi is a real #2RD upgrade replacement for Borgen. He will pair up nicely with Pettersson. Beadoin is a physical, grinder C with a 2way game with #2C upside. I will take this trade all day long.Just as underwhelming as I suspected it would be.

I think the question on Durzi is whether he can remain healthy, and whether he can improve or at least stabilize his defensive play. He's a better puck handler than Borgen and it'll be interesting to see whether he can get some chemistry with Pettersson to improve that second pairing.
I should have been clearer.......I meant it was underwhelming with respect to what a lot of fans and most of the media were speculating. I never once thought Dreary was going to get his asking price.....and the longer it dragged on, the less I thought the return would be.
