As expected, the Rangers will not go into the 2018-19 season with a captain, instead relying on five different Alternate Captains to lead the team through this transition season.  Marc Staal is chief amongst the five, having been assigned an A for both home and road games.

The other four will split duties between home games and road games, with Mats Zuccarello and Mika Zibanejad serving as Alternates at home, while Chris Kreider and Jesper Fast will get the honors on the road.
