In the lone story in today’s papers, the NY Post reports that Jaromir Jagr is unlikely to return with the Rangers. Larry Brooks spoke with Jagr’s agent Pat Brisson, and talked about the current state of negotiations.

Brisson and Glen Sather have been “talking all week”, but the sticking point appears to be the number of years. The Rangers are said to be unwilling to go beyond one year, so that they can defer bonuses, while Jagr is looking for a multi-year deal
