Fox his second year was good. But he wasn’t being challenged yet. Since 2000 the only Norris trophy winner I wouldn’t take over Fox was P.K. Subban. Every other one I would take over Fox. After Fox’s Norris Trophy season, teams started paying more attention to him and his effectiveness has dropped to much.
And it’s got to the point with him and Miller where Drury has to do something. Think a Subban aka Fox for Shea Weber trade. An addition by subtraction trade, the points from Fox but get a total shut down guy back. Subban at the time was putting up points but a leak on defence. Teams are not going to trade a bigger nastier version of Fox for Fox. After a trade hopefully Fox’s cap will be used on the right guy.
Miller is giving it up every game. He’s good for 1 to 3 against every night and plays as much a pussy game as Fox does.
Including Kreider some big changes are needed. Some might get done by the deadline. The big question is becoming is Drury the guy to do it.
Every team, every player know that if you pressure the Rangers D especially Fox and Miller they will fold like a $3 umbrella. This has an effect on the team too as they see a guy making $9.5M per who will not do what it takes physically to win. Yes he is smart but he has to show some physicality when the situation calls for it and he won't answer the bell. This is the NHL not the PWHL. The league knows it and his teammates know it. He averages less than 1/2 hit per game through out his career.

I would be insulted to play on a team where a player like Fox wears an "A". He's lazy and physically uncommitted on defense. That is not an example that inspires leadership. The so-called "core" is rotten. Remove it.
I watched the MSG after game show, they interviewed Fox, he didn’t take one ounce of responsibility for not even trying to do something with Benn.
