Yeah, I love Lindgren....but I can't pay him that much. He's kind of like Rempe in some ways. As for Zadorov, not sure...if they get rid of Trouba then I might be more into it
So with Lindgren being an RFA can you keep him for 1 more year at something reasonable/cap friendly? He is probably looking for long term, but I don't think the Rangers can pay him that kind of money until they get the Trouba shituation resolved.

Cheaper replacements for Trouba are out there. He’s third pair now. It’s about cap, you can not have his cap hit on the third pair, especially when he was on the ice for some 16 goals against the during the Carolina and Florida series. He has to go. It’s up to Drury to find the right type for the third pair.

Some chatter around there that the Rangers might also consider trading Lindgren...he's an RFA this year with arbitration rights and would become a UFA next Summer if not signed. I suspect it comes down to what other moves are made, and I imagine they'd prefer to deal Kakko and/or Trouba ahead of that, but Trouba in particular is likely to be difficult to move so may end up being Lindgren
Lindgren is on the same road Ryan Callahan was on. The smaller, fearless, never quit, heart and soul warriors are awesome for the team mojo. But there are only so many beatings they can take. I would sell on Lindgren while he is still a decent d-man and before he starts to decline or suffers a serious injury.
