John Tortorella announced the roster for tomorrow night’s preseason opener against the Devils, and as promised it’s a team with several young players, and few veterans. Surprisingly perhaps, Henrik Lundqvist will get his first action of the season backstopping a roster that features just eight players who played for the Rangers last year.
Backing up Lundqvist in net, is Cam Talbot, while the defense features four blueliners who are thought to be competing for the final roster spots including: Tim Erixon, Steve Eminger, Michael Del Zotto and Brendan Bell.
Up front Artem Anisimov, Brandon Dubinsky, Sean Avery and Erik Christensen headline a relatively inexperienced line-up. Game is scheduled to drop the puck at 7:00pm EST – MSG.
