Rangers sled on

A December Saturday night, a wander down to Buffalo, another W and the Rangers roll on. The Rangers continue morphing into a tough nut to crack come playoff time. A team receiving contributions from all hands nightly, is very difficult to beat over a seven game series. Torts has this team headed down that road.

Witness the Broadway hat awarded post game by the previous winner, to a different game star nightly.. That hats been on more players heads this season, than Obama works days in a month. Callahan, Gaborik and Richards continue their fine play while different “unsung players” like Hagelin, Mitchell step up every night.

Biron between the pipes, four lines deep, a dinged up defense, and they continue to grow, receiving meaningful significant contributions throughout the lineup. Makes one wonder where the ceiling is with a healthy Staal and Sauer in the top four, and a healthy Rupp, and Wolski back in the mix.

The Rangers are looking at seven games in thirteen days, Christmas, a Boxing day scuffle with the Islanders, and the rapidly approaching Outdoor match in Philly January 2nd. That puts the Rangers just about half way through the season. A look around the conference now, see’s the Rangers knocking on home ice advantage to start the playoffs. Its not up to anyone else, the Rangers are capable of controlling their own fate through this stretch and beyond. Continued unselfish, gritty play will take them as far as they want to go.
