Rangers rookie centerman Lias Andersson, will miss the final game of the preseason with a bruised foot, that he aggravated last night after having already suffered bruising from a similar blocked shot earlier in the preseason. The injury is not considered serious, and he will be sidelined for just a day or two.
The move comes at a time when there are still many questions to be answered on the final roster for opening night Thursday next week. With Andersson out, the remaining forwards, Cristoval Nieves, Filip Chytil, Paul Carey, Bobby Farnham, Vinni Lettieri and Gabriel Fontaine will get one last chance to make their cases for inclusion. All six forwards are expected to be in the line-up tonight.
