Rangers Feature On Day Two

All three Rangers in action on day two of Men’s Olympic hockey managed to make an impression. Henrik Lundqvist stopped all 21 shots he faced to secure a 2-0 win for Sweden over a feisty German squad in his first appearance of these games, while in the first game of the day, Olli Jokinen scored Finland’s opening goal to help his team to a 5-1 win over Belarus.

In the late game, Marian Gaborik made a surprise start and scored the only goal for Slovakia, who were beaten by the neighboring Czech Republic 3-1. Former Ranger Jaromir Jagr registering a goal and an assist for the Czechs.

In today’s action, the US will take on Norway in their second game, Canada will faceoff against the Swiss and Slovakia return to the ice in the late game to take on the Russians.
