As per Jesse Spector, the Rangers have traded blueliner, Tomas Kundratek to the Washington Capitals for 23 year old, Francois Bouchard.
Bouchard is the younger brother of Pierre-Marc Bouchard of the Minnesota Wild and cousin of former Ranger, PA Parenteau.
Bouchard tore up the QMJHL, but the 35th overall pick in 2006 hasn’t translated his play to professional hockey yet. He did however tally 52 points in 77 games for the Hershey Bears in the 2009-2010 season. Who knows, maybe he’ll find his game as a change of scenery can be good for some players.
Bouchard will be reporting to the Connecticut Whale and could be a viable call-up for the Rangers. Kundratek will report to the Hershey Bears and try to make a name for himself in Washington’s system.
