The Rangers returned from the Holiday break with a number of players in COVID protocol, and they are finally starting to get some of those back. Alexandar Georgiev returned to back up Igor Shesterkin in Sunday’s 4-0 win over Tampa, and now Ryan Lindgren and Kevin Rooney are set to rejoin the line-up.
Lindgren is expected to slot back in with Adam Fox, while Rooney will presumably move back into his fourth line spot with Greg MckEgg and Ryan Reaves.
To make way for the returnees, the Rangers have reassigned Tim Gettinger to the Taxi Squad, while Zac Jones looks to make his second consecutive start with Nils Lundkvist scratched.
Georgiev will make his return to the net after missing the first two games after the break due to COVID.
