Center Ryan Strome missed today’s morning practice, raising speculation that he will not play tonight in Pittsburgh. Strome left Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Sabres after the first periiod, with an undisclosed lower body injury. Asked after the game, Head Coach Gerard Gallant said he didn’t see anything serious.
No further updates have been provided on Strome’s status since the injury, with the team off yesterday ahead oft he game tonight. In his absence, the Rangers shifted Andrew Copp to center and slotted in Dryden Hunt on the right wing. With another forward needed, Ryan Reaves slotted into the 4th line right wing spot after sitting out the last two games as a healthy scratch.
The rest of the line-up remained the same as the last two games, which the Rangers have both won, scoring 10 goals in the process.
