Even though one of the games in Prague was classified as a “home” game for purposes of faceoffs and line changes, the real opener at MSG will come tomorrow night against the Blackhawks (7:00pm – MSG).
One of the players who will make his debut on MSG ice is defenseman Wade Redden…a player that The Daily News says has already answered his critics. Perhaps a tad prematurely in my opinion.
It looks at this stage that the team will be the same set of 23 going into tomorrow’s game, but there’s likely to be some roster moves at some point. One of those moves may be to switch Adam Voros up to the second line, and move Nigel Dawes down to the third. One of Petr Prucha, Dan Fritsche, Patrick Rissmiller or Fredrik Sjostrom would get to play on the fourth line.
Scott Gomez can now be counted on as a leader for the Rangers, with the departure of most of the veterans.
Down in the minors we get stories about Carl Hagelin from The Daily News and a look at the Hartford roster from the Courant.
