Jimmy Vesey

Injury Update: Nash, Vesey and Buchnevich

It appears now that Jimmy Vesey will miss 1-2 games with an upper body injury.  Vesey did take a slash in the loss to the Islanders, but continued to play.  He did not skate today, and is listed as day to day by the team.

Rick Nash is off to get an MRI on his groin.  While no status is available yet, we will possibly no more about the extent tomorrow after the team practices.  A long term injury would of course be a substantial hit to the team as they attempt to break out of the current funk they’re in.

Meanwhile Pavel Buchnevich needs to work on his strength according to head coach Alain Vigneault, as the Russian rookie continues to make his way back from back spasms.  Buchnevich just resumed skating this week, though still by himself.  He would appear to be a week or two away still, and is already in the fourth week of since he dropped out of the line-up.
