Prospects In Action Saturday

Rangers training camp for the prospects has started with the beginning of the annual Traverse City Prospects Tournament scheduled to kick off tomorrow. The Rangers will be on the ice for a 9:30am practice, before facing off against the Columbus Blue Jackets at 3:30pm in their first game.

The Rangers will play two more round robin games over the next couple of days, and then conclude the tournament with a seeded playoff game on September 15th. Ryan Bourque and Evgeny Grachev are among a handful who’re back for their second go round, both are hoping to impress.

Rangers prospect Roman Horak, along with Chilliwack Bruins team mate and invitee Brandon Manning will also be there.

Ruslan Fedotenko accepts invite to camp
Former Lightning winger Ruslan Fedotenko has officially accepted a try-out contract with the Rangers and will attend camp beginning September 17th. Fedotenko won a Cup with the Lightning while playing under John Tortorella, and won a second cup with the Penguins two years ago.

Todd White happy to be in mix
Todd White is happy at a chance to prove he still has something left, and is enjoying being around the Rangers’ youth. White has plenty of competition for a roster spot, and will have to show something in camp if he hopes to make the team.

Second Hockey Night Live to air Saturday
The second preseason installment of Hockey Night Live is scheduled to air on MSG Saturday night at 9:30pm. Re-runs of the show will be broadcast on MSG and MSG+.
