Ryan Reaves says he’s good to go for tomorrow night’s season opener in Washington. Reaves injured his leg in an awkward collision with PK Subban in the penultimate preseason game against the New Jersey Devils. He immediately left the ice and did not return for the remainder of the game.
In conversations with reporters today, Reaves mentioned that he knew shortly after he came off the ice, that the injury wasn’t as severe as he originally thought. The reports mean that the Rangers will go into the season opener with a fully healthy squad, having also avoided a serious injury to center Ryan Strome that appeared to be favoring his arm after a mid-ice collision with Islanders defenseman Scott Mayfield.
