We’re in the dog days of summer, but hockey is on the horizon with the release of the Traverse City Tournament roster for the Rangers. The Blueshirts will once again participate in the prospect competition that will begin September 10th in Michigan.
One player in particular will go into the tournament with hopes of making an impression in his first game in North America – Tim Erixon. Acquired in May by the Rangers after the Flames couldn’t sign him, the son of former Ranger Jan Erixon looks to be one of the competitors for an open defensive spot. Five 2011 Ranger draft picks will attend the tournament, including J.T. Miller who will attend as a result of switching his allegiance to the NCAA. Steve Fogarty will be the only pick from this year who will not attend.
